Dear Elliott PT Patients,
We wanted to provide you with an update on our physical therapy operations during this difficult time. We have been working diligently to ensure that we can continue to care for our patients in need of physical therapy services, while also implementing policies and procedures to keep you and our team safe.
Elliott Physical Therapy began transitioning certain physical therapy visits to telehealth early on in this pandemic, and we are continuing to offer telehealth appointments. Telehealth allows our physical therapists to deliver PT services via phone, smartphone, tablet or computer. We are currently using doxy.me, FaceTime and Skype for service delivery. Governor Baker approved the use of telehealth visits on March 15th to encourage physical distancing and allow healthcare providers to safely provide much needed services to the public safely in their homes. Many insurance companies have quickly adjusted and are covering telehealth visits at the same rate as in clinic visits.
All 5 Elliott Physical Therapy clinics remain open for patients in need of in-clinic visits. This can include but is not limited to: post-surgical patients, patients requiring manual therapy, new patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and emergency patient visits to ensure that you are able to receive the care that you need. All in-clinic and home visits will follow the strictest precautions to protect both patients and Elliott Physical Therapy team safety. We continue to ask all patients who do not feel well to stay at home and receive your visits via telehealth.
We are grateful to be able to serve you during this difficult time, and we will work diligently to help you stay healthy and moving. Please remember to exercise daily and get outside for some much-needed sunlight. We will get through this together. Please do not hesitate to call our offices if you have any questions.
