Christine Valente , Doctor of Physical Therapy
Christine Valente, PT, DPT completed her undergraduate studies at Union College in Schenectady, NY majoring in Biology. During her four years at Union, she played Division I ice hockey. Christine continued her education at the University of Rhode Island (URI) to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at URI, she completed clinical rotations in the sports outpatient, outpatient orthopedics and inpatient settings. It was during this time that she developed a passion for working with runners and triathletes to improve their performance.
She has also worked with a wide variety of patient populations including patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and developmental pathologies. Throughout her education and clinical practice, Christine developed a strong interest in utilizing an exercise-based approach to assist and empower her patients to reach their rehabilitation goals. She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Outside of the clinic, Christine continues to play ice hockey while training for triathlons and running races. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
