Katie Burton , PT, DPT
Katie Burton, PT, DPT is a graduate of The Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While at CUA Katie enjoyed playing Division III Women’s Lacrosse for all 4 years. Katie continued to pursue her passion for physical therapy working at MGH while applying to physical therapy schools. Katie then continued her post-graduate studies at Northeastern University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
Katie’s clinical experience includes outpatient orthopedics,inpatient neuro, and home healthcare rehabilitation. During her clinical rotations, Katie had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of populations inducing patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and vestibular pathologies including, concussions, BPPV, and vestibular hypofunction. Katie has been an athlete all her life and has the first-hand experience with common sports-related injuries. These experiences and her love for psychology has driven her passion for exercise and helping her patients stay active to enhance their physical and mental well being.
Katie grew up in Falmouth and currently lives in Boston. In her free time, she loves baking, painting, traveling, playing pick-uplacrosse, and hiking around the Boston area with her fiancé.
