Sarah Swenor

(PT, DPT)

Sarah Swenor, PT, DPT completed her undergraduate studies at Cedarville University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in Allied Health. She continued her education at the University of Rhode Island where she achieved the title of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). While there, Sarah took the opportunity to travel to Dublin, Ireland to observe the Irish health care system and how it relates to the field of physical therapy.

Sarah’s clinical experiences include outpatient orthopedics, aquatic therapy, and an inpatient acute care orthopaedic/trauma rotation at a level-1 trauma center. Sarah was also afforded the opportunity to work with a wide variety of populations, including patients presenting with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, integumentary, and gastrointestinal pathologies.  These experiences instilled in Sarah a deep appreciation for interprofessional collaboration and patient advocacy.

Sarah’s professional interests include low back pain and spinal pathology, aquatic therapy, the use of manual techniques, and other evidence-based holistic approaches to wellness. Sarah is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Originally from Peoria, IL, Sarah is enjoying her adventures in New England. She also enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, entertaining, and is a violinist.
