Kevin O’Brien, PT, DPT completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He continued his graduate work at The Sage Colleges where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). His clinical affiliations afforded him the opportunity to travel from Albany, NY to Portland, ME while treating patients in a variety of settings across the continuum of care; including acute medical care, sub-acute rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics.
Kevin is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and his clinical interests include general orthopedics, sports medicine and injury prevention. Kevin has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation and has taken several continuing education courses on shoulder impingement, rotator cuff pathology, and thoracic outlet syndrome. He has additionally received further training in the McKenzie Method for low back pain, and the application of therapeutic taping. He enjoys collaborating with student athletes and returning them to their sport.
Kevin is passionate about the promotion of health and wellness in the community, and has participated in several local events including the Back to School program, Chocolate Lover’s Stroll, and Bailey’s Run for Autism. He also enjoyed teaching the Balance and Fall Prevention lecture at the North Attleboro Senior Center.
