Hello! Thank you for choosing Elliott PT!
We want to make your experience both inside and outside our clinics as seamless as possible, so we’ve included some helpful information for our current patients below. We try to invest in as many technologies and tools as we can to elevate our patient experience.
Please read on to learn about all of these features via FAQs from other patients, so you have the best possible experience treating with our team members!
Digital Tools:
- Do you provide telehealth sessions?
- Yes, we do provide teleheath sessions and they are available to anyone who is unable to make their appointment in person. In person sessions are always preferred as our PTs can better work with and instruct the patient hands-on, but telehealth is a great option if this is not possible for the occasional appointment.
- How can I stay on track with my home exercise program?
- When you come in for your evaluation, your clinician will help set you up with our Elliott PT app, where your prescribed home exercise program with clear instructions, videos and frequency will be available. This app is easy to use and fun – as it logs each time you complete your exercises and celebrates your successes with fun badges you can earn! *click here to visit our Elliott PT app!*
- Sometimes Elliott PT calls me when I’m at work, and I can’t answer. Is there an easier way to communicate about appointments?
- There sure is! You can text your Elliott PT clinic at any time. Just reference the phone number listed on our website for your preferred location, and shoot us a text! We will get right back to you in minutes. You can also tell our administrative team if you prefer to communicate via text, and they will contact you that way moving forward.
- Is there a way I can pay for my visits remotely instead of at the front desk?
- Yes! We now offer pre-check in where you will receive a text or email (based on your communication preferences) 30 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you to check-in remotely and process any payments you may have. You will also be able to schedule additional appointments if needed during this time, quickly and easily from your phone. *check out the videos below for more information ⬇️ *
Treatments & Services:
- Do you have clinicians that offer certain treatments? (ex. Dry Needling, Pelvic Floor PT, BFR, Occupational Therapy)
- Yes! Many of our clinicians have certifications and specializations in various treatment styles. You can always check out our provider bios under each location for more information. If you have any specific questions, when you call to book your appointment, our knowledgeable administrative teams will make sure to schedule you with the clinician that is the perfect fit for your needs.
- Are there any additional fees I should know about (extra charge for dry needling)?
- Dry needling is an added fee-for-service as it is not a covered service by insurance carriers. Your PT will perform an evaluation to decide if dry needling is an appropriate treatment for you and to decide how many sessions are needed. Each dry needling treatment is $25 out of pocket expense in addition to the other treatment you receive on the at date of service which gets billed to your insurance provider. We do not offer Dr Needling only appointments; as it is our philosophy that we need to also treat the underlying cause creating the pain and/or soft tissue dysfunction.
- Can I just get a la carte treatments like dry needling or massage?
- During your initial evaluation with your physical therapist, they will perform a thorough assessment of your mobility, strength, posture and functional movement patterns to identify the cause(s) of your reported concerns and pain; from this information they will initiate a treatment plan that is individualized to best address your needs. As such, our treatment philosophy is all encompassing and will likely contain several elements such as soft tissue mobilization or other manual techniques, mobility, strengthening, stability, functional movement training and education. This will give you the best tools to manage your symptoms and prevent future occurrences.
Insurance & Authorization Questions:
- What happens if I run out of visits but still need physical therapy?
- If you exhaust your insurance benefits we will assist you in appealing for additional coverage via a member initiated grievance if further care is medically necessary. We also offer self pay options which are not subject to insurance authorization/limitations.
- Do you assist with the authorization process for PT visits? What happens if my insurance denies further care?
- Yes! We submit all required authorization requests that your specific insurance plan requires. If we ever run into a situation where a denial occurs, you will be informed and made aware of any appeal opportunities that may be available. Our PTs will always do their best to advocate on behalf of their patients with insurance companies to ensure they receive the care they need.
- How long does it take insurance claims to be processed?
- This varies based on the plan. Some plans process claims within 1-2 weeks of the care being provided, some plans take 4-6 weeks to process.
- Can I be billed for my appointments?
- Unfortunately no, we do require payment at the time of service.
