Elliott Physical Therapy Internship Program
We pride ourselves as a leader in our field for supporting and educating students who are pursuing degrees in the healthcare field.
Our Internship Program welcomes individuals who are interested in or already pursuing a degree in physical therapy, but we also encourage students pursuing healthcare administration, public health, exercise physiology and other similar majors, to take advantage of this opportunity to receive on the job experience at any of our Elliott Physical Therapy locations.
Interns in our program will be fully integrated into our team, working at the front desk or assisting our physical therapists. They will be involved in all clinic meetings, events and seminars, including team building opportunities and outings. Our internship program provides many educational opportunities including understanding the patient journey, shadowing during evaluations and follow-ups, participating in community outreach, exposure to insurance rules and protocols, developing customer service skills, and more.
In this program you can expect to experience:
- alignment in all Elliott Physical Therapy systems
- monthly clinical inservices and all staff meetings
- access to professional growth opportunities: leadership training, mental strength coaches, mentorship program (if timing aligns, as program is in the fall every year)
- sports medicine outreach programs through local high schools, colleges and community centers
- injury prevention programming
- shadowing opportunities
- team building events

Interning at Elliott as a Care Coordinator was an incredible learning experience! From the fantastic administrative staff to the physical therapists, I received kindness, knowledge, and many laughs. The work environment was so welcoming, which is perfect for learning. I grew my interpersonal skills and learned about insurance authorizations, medical terminology, office administration, and patient support. The skills I obtained from my internship at Elliott will benefit my future to become a physical therapist and be something I can take with me through any endeavor I take in my life!
