Jake Walker

(CSCS)

Jake Walker, CSCS obtained his undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island in the spring of 2020 as well as his MBA in December of 2021. During this time, he was also a 5 year member of their Division 1 baseball team.

While at URI, he spent time as an intern with the Sports Medicine staff where he learned skills and practices regarding managing injuries and bringing athletes back to the level where they can return to their sport. Through this opportunity, he was able to work with members of the URI football team and baseball team.

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Jake also started a coaching career in baseball at Nokona Athletic Club in Ashland, MA. Jake has spent the last year plus as a skills coach at Nokona Athletic Club, where he developed players of all ages in conjunction with onsite strength and conditioning coaching from Cressey Sports Performance. Jake still coaches teams for Nokona at the 11 year old and 15 year old levels.

Jake is now bringing his expertise to Curry College as a Strength and Conditioning Program Manager through Elliott Physical therapy. He will be working with and guiding all Curry College athletes on proper nutrition, conditioning, resistance training, mobility and recovery to help develop their skills, support their health and lead them to success.

When he is not coaching, Jake still plays baseball himself, participating in the Cranberry league on the South Shore. Outside of baseball, he enjoys fishing and golfing.

Jake is currently taking on new clients who are looking to improve their fitness and health through exercise.
