Eric Luo

(PT, DPT | Asst. Clinical Manager)

Dr. Eric Luo, PT, DPT hails from Orange County, CA and graduated from UC San Diego with dual degrees in B.S. Physiology & Neuroscience and B.S. Psychology with specialization in Human Health. He then came to Boston and earned his graduate degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions. From his diverse studies, including coursework in anatomy & physiology, nutrition, circadian rhythms, clinical and social psychology, and cognitive neuroscience, he gained a deep appreciation for the complexities of (and challenges associated with) health & well-being, meaningful movement, and the pain experience.

Eric’s clinical experience includes private and hospital-based outpatient orthopedic settings, pro bono neurological rehabilitation, and home health physical therapy. His clinical interests and expertise lie in post-surgical care, strength & conditioning, and chronic pain. He loves working with a variety of populations from different demographics, but in particular enjoys working with recreational runners and weekend warriors.

Eric understands that the rehab process can be tough and that there will be ups and downs along the way. He believes in meeting people where they are and empowering them through advice, education, and encouragement of movement. His primary approach is utilizing exercise-based treatments that are informed by current evidence, patient values, and individual circumstances to help patients regain confidence in movement and achieve their goals.

Outside of the clinic, Eric spends his time exploring Boston’s food scene, keeping up to date on physical therapy research, and learning about a wide range of topics such as exercise science, sustainability, tech, and coffee.
